Established in 1870, Cedar Point is the second oldest amusement park in the country. It is also one of the biggest, with nearly 70 rides, including 17 roller coasters. Its newest coaster, the Maverick, features a 95-degree first drop—one of the steepest first drops ever built. For those seeking less terrifying pursuits, the park also offers miniature golf, go-karts, a mile-long beach, two water parks, and much more. It occupies more than 360 acres on an island off Sandusky, jutting into Lake Erie.
